When you sign up for an Instant SOLO Server Shared URL test account, you will be assigned an Author ID, which will be sent to you in a Welcome e-mail. This Author ID is also your first User ID. You will enter the User ID along with the password you selected when creating your test account to log into the SOLO Server Administration interface, which is located at the following URL for Instant SOLO Server Shared URL:
If you are using Instant SOLO Server Custom Shared URL or Instant SOLO Server Dedicated URL, replace secure.softwarekey.com with your sub-domain/domain. If you are running a standalone version of SOLO Server, replace secure.softwarekey.com/solo in the URL with the path to your SOLO Server instance. Please contact us if you need assistance determining the correct URL.
The Author ID user is considered the Master User of your account and, as such, will be equipped with full SOLO Server administrative privileges for your company (or "group"). As a Master User, you will have authority to create, update, and delete login IDs for other employees (or "users") within your company (or "group"). If you have a customer record with SoftwareKey.com, please do not confuse this with your separate SOLO Server author account. More information on the differences between these accounts can be found here.
